Terms of Service
Effective date: April 28, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
Welcome to The Standard. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) apply to The Standard, also operating as “The Standard Legacy” and owned and operated by LB3 Legacy Group, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company.
The Terms govern your access to and use of the website located at thestandardlegacy.co and any related subdomains, applications, forms, email messages, and SMS/MMS text messages operated by The Standard (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing the Services, submitting the application form, providing your phone number, or communicating with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Standard is a recruiting organization for independent life insurance agents. We are not a licensed insurance carrier, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, or employer of record. Nothing on the Services constitutes an offer of employment, a guarantee of income, or personalized financial, insurance, legal, or tax advice.
2. Eligibility
The Services are intended for adult residents of the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally permitted to work in the United States. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements. The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under the age of sixteen (16).
3. Nature of the Opportunity
Individuals recruited through the Services who join The Standard typically operate as independent, 1099 insurance agents contracted with one or more insurance carriers. Agent relationships, compensation, licensing, appointments, and conduct are governed by the carrier’s separate contracting documents, applicable state insurance law, and any independent contractor agreement you sign.
Any statements on the Services regarding earnings, production, lifestyle, or career outcomes are aspirational examples. They are not guarantees, projections, or representations of results you will achieve. Your results depend on your licensing, effort, skill, market, and many factors outside our control.
4. Your Application and Account Information
When you complete our application form you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as needed. You are responsible for the information you submit and for any communication you send to us. We may verify, reject, archive, or withdraw any application at our discretion.
5. SMS and MMS Messaging Terms (A2P 10DLC)
This section describes the SMS/MMS text messaging program operated by The Standard (also operating as “The Standard Legacy” and owned by LB3 Legacy Group, LLC) (the “Messaging Program”). By submitting your mobile phone number through our application form or by otherwise providing your mobile number to The Standard in connection with the Services, you expressly consent to receive recurring text messages from The Standard at the number you provided, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or similar technology. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of being considered for the opportunity.
Program Description
The Messaging Program is used to support the recruiting and onboarding process. Message types may include:
- Application confirmations and next-step instructions.
- Interview, training, and appointment reminders and scheduling links.
- Onboarding, licensing, and carrier-contracting reminders.
- Occasional updates about opportunities, events, or announcements from The Standard.
- Customer-support replies to questions you send us.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your stage in the application and onboarding process and on your interactions with us.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. The Standard does not charge a fee for SMS/MMS messages, but your mobile carrier’s standard messaging, data, and roaming rates will apply to each message sent or received. Check your plan with your mobile carrier for details. The Standard is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to Opt Out (STOP)
You can cancel the Messaging Program at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. You may also reply with any of the following keywords: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. After you send one of these keywords, we will send you a final confirmation message and you will no longer receive SMS/MMS messages from The Standard through the Messaging Program. If you want to rejoin, sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending messages to you again.
How to Get Help (HELP)
If at any time you need help or information about the Messaging Program, reply HELP to any message we send you, or email us at support@thestandardlegacy.co. We will respond with instructions on how to use the Messaging Program and how to unsubscribe.
Supported Carriers
The Messaging Program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Eligibility and Device
You must be the account holder or have permission from the account holder of the mobile number you provide. You are responsible for all message and data charges incurred by any device on which you receive messages.
Changes to the Messaging Program
We reserve the right to change or terminate the Messaging Program at any time, including changes to message content, frequency, or keywords. We will notify you of material changes where required by law.
6. Email Communications
By providing your email address, you consent to receive transactional and marketing emails from The Standard relating to your application, onboarding, opportunities, and updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by emailing support@thestandardlegacy.co. Transactional messages (for example, those required to respond to your inquiry or confirm an appointment) may continue after you unsubscribe from marketing.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including another person’s contact information without their permission.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten any other person or {BRAND} personnel.
- Interfere with, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services or any related system.
- Use any automated system (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to access the Services except for search engines and publicly documented APIs.
- Upload or transmit viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
- Violate any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
8. Intellectual Property
The Services, including all text, graphics, logos, videos, images, software, and arrangement thereof, are owned by The Standard or its licensors and are protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from any portion of the Services. The marks “The Standard” and the The Standard logo are trademarks of The Standard. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services including but not limited to Google Calendar, Google Meet, Twilio, Resend, Inngest, and insurance carriers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Standard disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. The Standard does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses, and does not warrant that any information on the Services is accurate, complete, or current.
Nothing on the Services is intended as insurance, financial, legal, or tax advice. Decisions regarding insurance products, career choices, and financial matters should be made only after consulting a licensed professional.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Standard and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost income, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services, the Messaging Program, or these Terms, regardless of the theory of liability and even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Standard and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property, privacy, or telecommunications right; or (d) any content or information you submit through the Services.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services or the Messaging Program at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, the sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections 8 through 15.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. You waive any right to a jury trial to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section limits either party’s right to seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page and may notify you by email or through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
